The York mattress has a deep quilted finish that attaches the outer damask cover to the surface layers of fillings in a patterned design to ensure a flat and even sleeping surface. Its open coil interior provides a medium support and consists of hourglass shaped springs, set in rows running from head to toe and connected into one unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To provide support across the mattress width, a thick perimeter wire is attached to the edge of the spring system to prevent border breakdown and retain its shape throughout its lifespan. Dual sided, the mattress requires to be flipped over and rotated from head to toe on a regular basis. This will take care of it and help to enhance its lifespan. Supporting the York mattress is deep platform top divan base that is upholstered in a matching fabric and has the option of non storage or a 2 drawer divan.
