The Panache mattress has a soft to touch knitted cover and features a high loft, micro quilted cushioned top for added comfort and a breathable venting system on the border for better heat dispersion. Its generous layers of fillings are hypo-allergenic and have a high level of antimicrobial and dust mite resistance, resulting in an ideal sleeping surface for allergy sufferers or asthmatics. The interior consists of a strong and sturdy 12.5 gauge open coil spring system, also known as a Bonnell unit and one of the firmest wires used in mattress manufacturing in the UK today. The open coil spring system is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The perimeter is strengthened by a thick rod-edge wire that adds support and prevents border breakdown. Although the mattress is one-sided, it still requires to be rotated from head to toe on a regular basis. This process will even out the wear and tear on the mattress and also enhance its lifespan. Its divan base comes with the option of a solid top for a firmer feel or a sprung edge base for a softer and more comfortable feel.
