The set consists of a solid top divan base and a robust mattress that features an open coil spring system, generous layers of white fibre fillings and a quality damask cover. The mattress benefits from a hand tufted finish, a process that secures the layers of fillings to the spring system, reducing the chance of upholstery movement. Strong and robust, its interior is made up of hourglass shaped open coil springs set in rows and connected into one single unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To offer enhanced strength and support to the finished unit, a heavy gauge outer rod-edge wire is fitted around the top and bottom of the perimeter springs. Resting on a choice of castors or silver glide feet, the deep base has a solid top to provide a firm foundation for the mattress and comes with the option of non storage or 2 side drawers.
