The process of hand tufting passes tapes through the mattress at regular intervals, securing them on both sides with cotton tufts, ensuring the fillings are held in place. Below its damask cover is layers of white fibre, hypo-allergenic fillings and a robust 12.5 gauge open coil spring system, one of the firmest wire used in mattress manufacturing. Its open coil interior is made up of rows of springs running from head to toe and set into one single unit by a spiral helical wire that ensures the unit retains its shape. To further strengthen the mattress, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter of the spring unit. This prevents border breakdown and allows you the full width if the mattress. It's a dual sided mattress, so we recommend that you rotate it from head to toe and flip it over on a regular basis. This will take care of it and enhance its lifespan.
