Supplied by Deluxe Beds, the Natural Orthopaedic Luxury mattress is generously filled and boasts a firm open coil spring system and natural fillings such as wool, silk and cashmere. It is covered in a quality cotton fabric that features a micro quilted finish; a process that secures the outer cover to the top layers and avoids upholstery movement. The wool layer is soft, supportive plus breathable and has the ability to retain its warmth in the winter months and its cool characteristics in the summer time. The cashmere and silk layers are generally found in high end mattresses and are extremely durable and add a luxurious and comfortable feel to the mattress. Its interior is a robust 12.5 gauge open coil spring system that comprises of rows of hour glass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To add strength to the mattress border, a thick rod-edge wire is attached around the perimeter of the springs and also prevents border breakdown. This additional rod-edge support also allows you the use of the full width and lets you sleep comfortably right up to the edge of the mattress without the sensation of rolling off.
