The Victoria king size divan base from Shire Beds has a reinforced structure thats designed to withstand extra wear and tear, plus a chic weave fabric cover. A standard divan base has a build that consists of a timber frame with wooden supports running across its width and a top board attached to the strapping. Boasting a strong construction, a reinforced base provides a more robust support with the addition of extra straps across the framework and a double thick top board. Most divan bases are upholstered in their chosen fabric around the perimeter with a non-slip cover on the top lid and attached by a tape edge around the border. The Victoria also has a non-slip top lid and features a tidier looking border as the fabric wraps over the top of the base to create a cleaner tailored edge.
