The mattress is substantially filled and beautifully tailored in a luxurious damask fabric cover that is hand tufted for added strength and durability. The hand tufting process pre-tensions the mattress and ensures the generous layers of fillings are held firmly in place. Internally the mattress boasts pressure sensitive pocket springs. Each spring is housed within its own fabric sleeve to ensure the load on one spring isnt affected by the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your unique body shape. The perimeter of the mattress features 2 rows of traditional hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the mattress border.
